H997 is Leaking Water or Will Not Turn On

When you received your brand new H997 Guardian Humidifier, there are several parts to setup and tape to be removed. One area specifically that can cause problems if the tape is not removed is on the Float Arm. The tape is placed on the Float Arm to ensure that it is not damaged while in the box.

Should this tape not be removed, the unit may leak water as the float arm balances the water level in the unit. You may also find that the unit will not turn on as the tape may prevent the top of the humidifier from sitting properly on the bottom of the humidifier which will prevent it from activating when turning on.
