You may need assitance completing a fire test on the FRAK and FRAS units. Please note, there is a “fusible link” that has a set temperature that it melts at so the damper can spring shut. This is by design.
You can remove the link from the damper and simply reuse it. If you squeeze the damper tight against the frame it will take the tension off the link and you can unhook it. Whatever you do, make sure to wear gloves because they nicknamed them mouse traps for a reason.
