Sometimes there can be some degree of difficulty with the initial removal of the cover for the remote-control battery compartment. Please follow the suggested steps noted below that will help to resolve this:
-
We recommend placing the remote upside down, with the battery door facing away from you
-
Please use a dry cloth to wipe down any residue that may impact the grip on the battery door
-
Next, please place both thumbs on the ribbed section of the battery door compartment
-
Apply pressure in a downward manner
-
While pressing down with both thumbs, push the battery door away from you which will allow the door to slide open
If the remote is a CR-22 battery remote (watch battery) style remote, be sure to insert the remote battery properly, as inserting upside down will prevent the battery door from closing.
Also, when trying to open the battery door and it appears stuck and unable to open, we recommend using a Quarter to open as this will fit in correctly and avoid damaging the battery door and rendering the remote unusable.
If this does not resolve the issue, we may need to replace the remote if your unit is eligible
