Lasko released a firmware update (March 2023) for all T48401 Tower Fans that previously referred to having a "Nighttime" mode. This firmware update is being pushed to all devices and we will now be adding a new feature we are calling "Dark Mode".
What are the key differences? On the Nighttime mode, the lights would dim and the fan speed would decrease intermittingly. Now with the Dark Mode setting, the lights will turn off, as well as the fan speed will remain at the setting the you have most recently set it to.
Why is this changing? We are always taking feedback from you, the customer, into consideration when designing our products. The changes align with our customers expectations of the product.
How will I know Dark mode is on? The Dark mode will be indicated as on by a green light which will be lit when the feature is activated.
What changes will there be to the Alexa app? The Alexa app will now read "Display" instead of "Nighttime". This indicates that the firmware has been updated and "Display" will represent "Dark mode"
