Why does my heater beep when I plug it in?

To the attention of Andrew; I presume you were and you are still an Official Lasko Support Personnel.  You wrote an year ago or so this: "A heater is designed to be powered off and unplugged when not in use, for safety reasons. By design, when the heater is plugged in there is an audible beep which announces that the heater has been plugged in and there is now power going to the heater itself. "  But Andrew, we have owned this "Model 5591" -- which is no longer supported or manufactured -- for longer than 10 years easily.  Only this year (2022) we started hearing the beeping noice.  Amazingly, the unit appears to be still working properly!  I am sure the saying "They don't make it like this one anymore!" is quite applicable to this model!
