A heater by design is to be powered off and unplugged when not in use, for safety reasons. The red indicator light turns on when the product is plugged in. This is to notify you that the heater is plugged in and power is going to the unit. This light cannot be turned off for safety reasons.

I've never owned a space heater that did that. Had I known this, I would not have purchased it.
Hi Don! Most space heaters have a light that remains on as it serves as a safety indicator that there is power getting to the unit. Since space heaters can get very hot, and pull quite a bit of electricity, manufactures place this LED on the front of the unit as a power indicator. We apologize if this has become a nuisance and we will keep this feedback in mind for future designs.
