Please try the following troubleshooting suggestions.
- Please unplug the humidifier.
- Remove the water tank, there is a small spring on the lid, make sure the spring moves easily. Make sure the red gasket is secure on the inside of the lid.
- Drain any excess water from the base area. The ultra sonic disk should be cleaned frequently, using 100% white vinegar.
- Let the diluted vinegar soak in the disk area for 10-15 minutes, then use the brush provided and gently clean the disk. Drain any excess vinegar and dry with a soft cloth.
- In the base of the humidifier, where the ultra sonic disk is located, next to it is a small pole with a circular part around it, this is the float, make sure the circular piece moves easily (not the pole).
- Reassemble, making sure the water in the tank is room temperature and the tank is not over filled. Make sure the tank is securely in place. Please plug the product in, turn on and set to warm humidification for at least 1 hour.
It may also take 10-15 minutes before warm humidity is created. The mist may not feel especially warm since it is so fine, and it is cooled rather quickly from the air in the room. After running the unit for 10-15 minutes, remove the spray spout on top of the unit and feel the mist that is coming directly from inside of the unit. It should feel warmer. There is a heating mechanism in the base of the unit that heats the water to about 80 degrees, so it is not a hot mist, but rather a warm mist.
